Hexagon Grid (Hexagon Base) Geometry Nodes Blender 3.1+
A Node Group for creating Hexagonal Grids on a Hexagonal Base in Blender 3.1 and above.
- outputs Curve Grid as default. Unmute (shortcut M) 'Fill Curve' to convert into Mesh Instances.
- set Hexagon (Curve Circle) radius (HexagonRadius)
- set no. of Rings
- two modes for adding Gap between Hexagons(GapValue & GapScale). GapScale works for mesh only i.e. after unmute (shortcut M) 'Fill Curve'.
- Unmute 'Realize Instances', 'Merge by Distance' to convert & optimise Mesh with Instances to single Mesh. Unmute 'SplitEdges' if required.
- 'Set Material' to individual instance or final Mesh.
- instance Mesh (Hexagonal) Cylinder instead of Curve (Hexagon) Circle.
- full functionality of 'Instances on Points' node.
